As part of your onboarding with Felix, we’ll ask you to provide your brand’s hex colour codes. These are used to align your digital experience with your brand’s visual identity—so your booking engine, guest guide, or other assets feel like “you.”

If you’re unsure where to find your hex colours, don’t worry—this quick guide will walk you through your options.


What Are Hex Colour Codes?

A hex colour code is a 6-digit combination of numbers and letters that represents a colour in digital design. It always begins with a hashtag #, followed by three pairs of characters:

Format: #RRGGBB
Each pair controls the levels of:

Example: #F26419 is a warm orange tone.


The Easiest Ways to Find Your Hex Colours

1. Ask Your Designer

If you’ve worked with a:

  • Branding agency

  • Freelance designer

  • Web developer

...then chances are you’ve already been given a brand guidelines document or style guide with your hex colours listed. Check your files for something like:

  • “Brand Kit”

  • “Visual Identity Guidelines”

  • “Logo Pack”


2.Use Chrome Inspect Tool – Colour Picker

Google Chrome has a built-in colour picker:

Steps:

  1. Right-click anywhere on a webpage and select Inspect

  2. Go to the Styles panel

  3. Find a colour-related CSS property (like color: or background-color:)

  4. Click the coloured square next to it

  5. Use the eyedropper to pick any colour on your screen

  6. Copy the hex value shown



3. Use Firefox – Built-in Eyedropper Tool

Firefox includes a simple tool for grabbing colours from anywhere on your screen.

Steps:

  1. Open Firefox

  2. Click the menu button (three lines in the top right) → select More Tools → choose Eyedropper

  3. Hover over the colour you want and click

  4. The hex code will appear, ready to copy


4.Use Canva (with Chrome) – Eyedropper Tool

If you use Canva for design, you can easily grab colour codes using the eyedropper tool (only available on the Chrome browser):

Steps:

  1. Open your design in Canva

  2. Click on an element or background → then open the colour picker

  3. Click “Add a new colour” → select the eyedropper icon

  4. Hover over any colour in your design and click to select it

  5. Canva will apply the colour AND show the hex code (e.g., #1A1A1A)


Once you’ve identified your hex colours, the next step is to let us know how you’d like each colour applied within the guest app.
