Set up your Stripe account
Here’s a step‐by‐step guide to create your Stripe account:
- Register your account in Stripe
- Set your account live
- Add Felix as a new admin user
Prepare Your Browser and Materials
Make sure you’re using a modern web browser with JavaScript enabled. Gather essential details such as your email address, a strong password, and your business name, address, and type. You will also need banking details (account number, routing number, and in some cases, SWIFT code) to receive payouts later on.
Register your account
- Open your browser and go to https://dashboard.stripe.com/register
- This page is designed to guide you through the sign-up process. Once there, enter your email address and create a secure password. Depending on your region, you might be asked for additional verification to confirm your email.
Set your account live
Log-into your Stripe Account here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/login
Select "Get your live account" button or the section "Verify your business" to continue the process as per Stripe's requirement. Following the form, there are prompts and help information available to support you during the process.
Hovering the pointer over or selecting the fields, you may find instructions next to the fields.
Depending on the provided information, more options will be shown for you to choose from. You may be asked to:Verify your business: there are several options for your type of business and more information will be shown depending on your choice.
Add your bank (Place details of the short term rentals dedicated account)
Secure your account
Add extras: these are optional and you may be charged fees.
Review and finish: check all provided information and provide all missing required information before you are able to activate payments.

Add Felix user to your account
- Log-into your Stripe Account here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/login
- Click on the gear icon to access the Settings dashboard
- Click on Team and security

Open the page of Team and Security
Click on + Add member

- Enter email in the following format:
help+your_company_name@getfelix.com.au - Select Administrator Role, This role is for people who need similar access as the account owner. This role is for anyone who needs similar access as the account owner. This role can't delete the default bank account, or change the account owner.
- Select the Send Invites button to send an invitation link to Felix.
