QR codes (also referred to as Digital Spots) are an incredibly useful tool provided by Duve. These can be utilized to enhance the experience of guests staying at your property. From promoting upsells such as late check-outs, showing how to use a fireplace, to providing guides of the local area.
To create a QR code, first login to your account in Duve. Click on the Duve logo in the top left corner of the screen and you'll see the 'Settings' title. Click it to access Settings.
Once inside Settings, find "Digital Spots" on the left. This will open the screen below. From here you can view and edit existing QR codes, as well as create new ones.
Once "Add new" is selected, you will be provided with the following options (as well as the new QR code on the RH side of the screen):
- The "Internal QR name" is the display name of the QR code (which will show on the Digital Spots main menu)
- "Link to" allows us to identify where the QR code will take us: To the guest app in general, a specific post that has been made (for example, local guides, code of conduct, access codes etc), a service (upsell) such as port-a-cot's, paid parking, late check-out, extra linen etc. Or Online check-in. We do not recommend using the online check-in feature at the property, as it does allow for slip-ups in security.
In the below example, "Service" have been selected, and from the drop down menu we can see a list of available upsells for this account.
In the below example, we have made a QR code that provides access codes to the property. Access codes can only be accessed once the guest is checked in (you won't have to worry about people coming off the street, and spending a night in your nice house for free!). This could code couple be placed at the front entrance to assist people with getting all the info they need to get into the property.
Whatever it might be, once you are happy with your selection, select "Download" in the top RH corner of the screen to download the QR code image. From here, this QR code can be edited into a brochure, or placed onto beautifully designed cards, placed around the property to assist guests with any enquiry they have - as long as the info has been loaded into Duve in the first place :)
