Scenario 1: Payment has been posted to the trust account.

**Important** If a booking has a payment that has already been posted to the trust account, the booking CAN NOT be moved to another property inside Felix.

In the instance where a payment has been posted to the trust account, a new booking needs to be created:

  • Create a new booking inside of the new property where you will transfer the guest to and ensure the details of the booking including financials are correct.
  • Add a note to each booking referring to the other booking (copy & paste the booking id)
  • Change the original booking to 'cancelled' (Booking -> Summary Tab)
  • Enter a 'Transferred from cancelled booking' manual payment in the new booking for the original deposit amount
  • Enter a 'Transferred to new booking' manual refund (negative payment) in the cancelled booking and delete all charges
  • in OTA plus (Trust Accounting) you need to add a refund to the cancelled booking and post the payment to the new booking with a note explaining (booking moved from property 'x', payment transferred) to provide a trail for the auditors.

Scenario 2: No Payment has been posted to the trust account.

If there has been no payment posted to the trust account, a booking can simply be moved. You can select the new property in the summary tab of the booking or “drag & drop” a booking to another property inside of the bookings grid.

Once it's moved, inside OTA plus you need to delete the original booking (go to Administrator > General Setup > Delete Manual Booking and enter the Felix 8-digit booking ID) then re-push the booking to OTA plus from Felix from the log tab of the booking (see screenshot). That will push the new property details across to OTA plus.
